Flow and Moment are both focus timers for Apple devices. This page compares what is free in each, what Pro costs, breaks, blocking, Apple Health, Apple Watch and Vision Pro.

Flow

Flow, by Yugen GmbH in Frankfurt, includes the timer, several durations, break reminders, stats with graphs and iCloud sync of those stats in its free tier. Its Pro plan adds sync of the timer itself between devices, custom titles and durations, cycles, blocking of apps and websites, Apple Calendar sync and export. Flow syncs to Apple Health, has an Apple Watch app, Live Activities and Shortcuts, and a lifetime price. It is on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch.

Breaks are free in both apps. Both block with Pro. Flow blocks apps and websites while a session runs, and Moment Pro blocks the apps, categories and websites you choose on iPhone and iPad during a session, with Screen Time.

Moment

Moment helps you reflect on each session. You enter what the session is for before it starts, and when it ends you can mark how it felt with one of five feelings, on a scale from scattered to flowing, and Moment keeps your answer beside the time. Both apps sync to Apple Health, and Moment also logs how a session felt, as State of Mind.

Sessions gather in Stats on every device. With Moment Pro, Stats and Insights show you the patterns in your work over time, and Insights are written on your device, by Apple Intelligence where it is available. There are four themes, Ocean, Air, Sand and Forest, each with its own ambient sound and a ticking sound.

Moment is a native app on Vision Pro, with visionOS 26 on its listing. Flow's listing says visionOS 1.1, which can mean the iPad app running there, and flow.app lists iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch, not Vision Pro. Both have an Apple Watch app, and Moment's is a companion to the iPhone app, with the Digital Crown and a complication.

Prices

Flow is free, with the timer, break reminders and stats. Its Pro plan is $2.99 a month, $17.99 a year or $39.99 once. Moment is free. Moment Pro is $2.99 a month, $19.99 a year or $39.99 once, a lifetime licence. These are US prices, and the apps show yours.

Choosing between them

If you want sessions synced to Apple Calendar, export and stats as the record, Flow has them. If you want the dial, a reflection on each session, the feeling in Apple Health and a native app on Vision Pro, Moment has them.
